Is there a neccesity to go underground in virtual space through the use of encryption. I personally love the freedom and union with by fellows on the web. It has given me more of an identity than in the real world.
The people who want to control the web are not operating in real time so it in real time that we can best subvert them. They make money out of control of content and "intellectual property". If we take Esther Dyson's advice and think in terms of intellectual process and performance the evil empire will be thwarted. Look at Bill Gates' recent turnaround in thinking.
