I felt this is an important issue someone could advise me on, and all of you could help me out with. Thank you. 'The Juicy Cerebellum' isn't allowed on its own, hometown server (every person subscribing to the IP is given a certain amount of FREE webspace), even using its OWN, individual domain name. This decision was made by a large group of teachers and businessmen WITHOUT the author's consent. There are weekly meetings where the webmaster (myself) has asked to put in his own viewpoints, he is declined, or told the meetings are 'irregular, at best.' For nearly a YEAR he has been ignored, turned away, or told that there are no 'meetings.' Still, the next day he hears how well the meeting went. The problem I have with this is that the my Internet Provider is ran by two companies REA-ALP. ALP stand for Alexandria Light and Power, which is a state/government funded operation, and the source of (obviously) light and power in the town. From what I've gathered, no state/Government run agency has the right to censor material. Are there any civil-liberty lawyers out there? If so, is this true? There are plenty of other pages on the rea-alp server, some with vulgarities, conservative opinions, etc.. Yet mine is not allowed, simply because of its SATIRICAL (and, what I consider the problem, (liberal) content. The people at the meeting unanimously voted down my site, claiming that their business sites being hosted on the same server as 'The Juicy Cerebellum' (my site), would hurt their business, and give them a 'bad' name. See the 'offending' page at http://www.huri.net/jc and give me your opinion over whether or not my page should be CENSORED by a GOVERNMENT run IP. After reading some of it, and getting a general idea of its content, email me from the page. I will bring any and all of your opinions to the next meeting IF I'm allowed in. Sincerely, Alex http://www.huri.net/jc 'Where EVERYONE is normal, because NOBODY is sane!'
