Hi everybody!
: Being an icredible optimist I'm always ready to jump on the latest
: bandwagon if it promises HAPPINESS, EUPHORIA, CONNECTEDNESS,
: or just plain fun. Anything to get me out of the absolute
: drudgery of later day capitalist object-making
: and consumption. Right now the web has given me more
: freedom, and more communication with like minded persons
: than any other method I know of. Is this Utopia?
No that is not Utopia, it is an island of freedom, a (relatively) new tool as Web has given us. What makes it similar to Utopia is the fact that at first we expect absolute freedom (whatever it stands for) but in reality find that our island has given us freedom in a relatively narrow band, and that progress is not so big we have expected. Still, it is progress on an infinitely lengthy road. So, we will use our islands, like this CHALKBOARD and hope and work (?) to make as many islands as we can, occasionally connecting them .
Moving slowly, but still moving.
