PLEXUS is an interface to a flux of ideas contained in the writings and visual works of the artists, writers, and groups it presents and collaborates with. It aspires to be a broad environment encompassing many disparate philosophies; yet it is also selective, critical and curated. Plexus takes as its inception E.M. Forster's advice, "Only connect ...", and seeks to make an apposition of art and ideas that have stemmed from different cultures and belief systems. Plexus endeavours to further the most positive aspects of the Internet, as an enhancement of human communication and intercultural understanding. We see the promise of the Web as a vast and ever expanding library of human culture and it is our ambition to add a few volumes to its shelves as testimony of our contemporaries' experience and creativity.
