This precisely why I'm developing professional
resources on the web. Searchible db's for dance
addresses (companies, $, schools, etc.)
As well as the ability to post and recieve
automatically e-mail alerts for auditions,
performances, classifieds, etc.
As well as the entire dance webspace by keyword.
And, of course, forums. As well as the ability to
submit and search dance related news online.
The hope is if the web can get dancers dance jobs
& information they'll learn to use the technology.
Forunately, some kind people donated some free
server space so my stuff should be up in 4-6
weeks.
Some dancers here at UCLA are also getting involved.
So I think your right about the need for utility.

I don't understand the above paragraph.
Also, if anyone has a wish list of features they
would like on a dance site - please post them.
