By the time a program is famous it's probably over
and living off its reputation (Cal Arts for one).

Graduate school is expensive and I'm not so sure
you need an MFA degree anyway. What you need is
a community of artists to learn from. What you don't
need are massive student loans to pay back. Unless,
of course, you're rich and money doesn't enter into
it.

I don't know much about the Art Students League
but I know people who have gone there to have
studio space and be around other artists. Same
with the Studio School.
