By all means. These lit zines are a great chance for new voices to be heard and occassionally one or two emerge as truly exceptional. However, a far as durable zines that move towards bridging the distant gap between print and the web, that attract great writers regardless of medium, I again would defer to:
Zines
1. Slate
2. Jacket
3. Blue Moon
4. Cortland Review

Showcases
5. Alsop Review
6. Web del Sol (but not the regular zine)

With possible consideration to Octavo (too early I reckon).

If you can make it at these zines, I reckon you can make it anywhere.

: Prestigious perhaps doesn't have the range of a good rock. What you say about prestige zines of course is most pertinent. There aren't as many as we think. And the ones that are good don't hold up. Takes time. The internet is unpredictable and leans toward the mediocre.

: The pulp magazines are back. Lots of folks getting published. Many folks having fun. Let's join in...
